It is harder to watch someone in a hospital,
Than to be the patient.
It gets exponentially harder,
The sweeter, and brighter spirits,
They are.
She isn’t just a light,
She is happiness incarnate.
And there isn’t a thing I can do.
But I take time and hold it,
As it holds her here.
She may suffer,
But with all that I am,
I demand,
She is not over.
