It is struggle enough,
To be slowed and trapped by snow.
To be annoyed and inconvenienced
By a few hours without power.
But it is an entirely different lesson
to spend day(s) without heat and effective light.
A city brought to its knees by solid water.
Might do better to speak of better infrastructure,
Rather than relying on faith, that rings sharp and hollow
Echoing, unheard, off dead and dying buildings.
