A Special Kind of Numb

To end a life not your own,

Takes a special kind of numb pain.

And how many lives have been taken?

And what actions are taken for change?

The condemnation of thousands

Into little gray boxes.

Shaving hair never ends growth.

If we wanted change,

We must walk through the pain

Of pulling out hundreds or thousands of roots,

Big, and small,

Infected and and inflamed.

Festering,

until we face the necessity

Of immediate change.

I am a writer with an extremely active imagination. I love learning answers to questions and what makes everything and everyone tick. I am a "Unique case, medically" if nothing else. I am flawed in my extreme aversion to failure (even when "success" isn't good for me,) but have come a long way in ditching the perfectionist mindset. I like people whose default setting toward others is compassion, an open mind, and honesty
