The Job of a Child

Is to be young,

To play, to try, to learn.

They deserve to hold true to ideals adults deem impossible.

Because ideals only become impossible when condemned and tossed aside by “Adults”

Day by day more creativity seeps up through adulthood,

But, the doors of hope do creak wider by the breadth of a hair.

Until evolution adapts the optimism of children within adulthood.

We may benefit from respecting the young,

As much as, if not more than,

Bitter, pessimistic, and biased adults.

I like people whose default setting toward others is compassion, an open mind, and honesty
