I know what anxiety feels like
A quick rush of ” I’m trying, try harder self, don’t irritate them.”
It comes and goes at least 15 times a day,
Even if it is unjustified,
Uninvited,
No matter how many slow deep breaths,
How much positive self talk,
I cannot pull away from the anxiety.
But I am still trying.
