Justice Does Not Stop

Then a death

And outrage,

For their devaluation.

Now a verdict

And if I were ever to pray

It would be that

the outrage did not lull

That the people didn’t settle

Because no single person’s fate,

Can end a way of life

That is built on power over others.

I like people whose default setting toward others is compassion, an open mind, and honesty
