Neurons

I heard a rule once,

“If you need to do something,

that takes less than two minutes,

do it immediately.

That made sense,

I have a habit of saying,

“It’s a small thing,

and tomorrow morning I’ll have more energy…”

And that is usually true,

I spend my energetic mornings,

doing little things.

I kept trying to change,

Catching myself,

putting off little things.

Sometimes, I would then do those things,

Other times, I put them off again.

But slowly, I started to do it less,

And listen to the the consciousness, more.

I could draw,

But I’m tired,

I’ll give it two minutes.

And an hour later,

I have created.

I could study,

I have no drive,

But I’ll give it two minutes.

15 minutes later I have learned.

My neurons are blazing a,

Just do it, path.

And the wires are building,

Wired together, strong.

I am a writer with an extremely active imagination. I love learning answers to questions and what makes everything and everyone tick. I am a "Unique case, medically" if nothing else. I am flawed in my extreme aversion to failure (even when "success" isn't good for me,) but have come a long way in ditching the perfectionist mindset. I like people whose default setting toward others is compassion, an open mind, and honesty
