Into The Wild

It is said that to learn a language,

It’s easiest if we immerse ourselves in it.

It’s more complete,

our brains build neurons

In a comparative snap.

The same is true of life.

I practiced for my move to law school,

Mobility, daily tasks, healthy habits,

And it was hard as fluc.

I move, and within a week,

I could do everything that was a fight.

Without fighting.

In this wild, I have grown, I have adapted

I am thriving, at least for now,

(Stay humble)

The thing I WASN’T prepared for,

And could never be,

Was the finale in my rewatch,

Of Star Trek Deep Space 9.

It was impossible to muffle,

My cries,

At the incompleteness,

Emptiness left.

But hey,

That’s just part of the laws of nature.

I am a writer with an extremely active imagination. I love learning answers to questions and what makes everything and everyone tick. I am a "Unique case, medically" if nothing else. I am flawed in my extreme aversion to failure (even when "success" isn't good for me,) but have come a long way in ditching the perfectionist mindset. I like people whose default setting toward others is compassion, an open mind, and honesty
