That Grocery Store Letter

I had the time,

And she was the type of judge,

And person,

I wanted to be.

In June 2019 I began writing,

in the Safeway Starbucks.

Dear Justice Ginsberg,

And drop off at the post office window in-store.

August 18th 2020,

A great woman died,

Without writing back

To an aspiring great woman.

But the effort was an honor,

And that great woman, worth every moment.

I sleep well knowing I took an opportunity

While it existed,

Even if it didn’t catch.

I am a writer with an extremely active imagination. I love learning answers to questions and what makes everything and everyone tick. I am a "Unique case, medically" if nothing else. I am flawed in my extreme aversion to failure (even when "success" isn't good for me,) but have come a long way in ditching the perfectionist mindset. I like people whose default setting toward others is compassion, an open mind, and honesty
