Everything I Hated

It was insanely difficult,

To do so many things as a child.

Showers were a pain in the ass

Shoes, I hated shoes,

Even though I had weak feet.

Walking is a high-intensity workout,

As is scratching my damn back,

But,

So many years later,

I spent two years living in a single room,

Having been set free,

by time and hard work.

Every shower,

every walk,

and every shoe’d foot

Is not just a victory,

It’s a joy.

I am a writer with an extremely active imagination. I love learning answers to questions and what makes everything and everyone tick. I am a "Unique case, medically" if nothing else. I am flawed in my extreme aversion to failure (even when "success" isn't good for me,) but have come a long way in ditching the perfectionist mindset. I like people whose default setting toward others is compassion, an open mind, and honesty
